At NLN in Clonmel we provide a range of free courses to people who have had an accident, illness, injury or have a disability and extra support needs.
Our courses are tailored to each student’s needs, to help them to build their confidence while getting practical job-seeking skills to help them get a job or go on to further training.

General Learning with Computer Applications, Office Skills, ICDL & ICDL Advanced
This programme enables students to develop the relevant knowledge, skills and competences to access work opportunities in a range of areas which enable personal development and progression to employment, higher education or further training. Each student has an individual training plan. Work placement is integral to the programme. Students will be able to access a range of supports in the centre.

Retail Skills with Information Technology ICDL & ICDL Advanced
This programme enables students to acquire the relevant knowledge, skills and competence to work effectively in the retail sector and to progress to employment, further education and training. Each student has an individual training plan. Work placement is integral to this programme. Students will be able to access a range of supports in the centre.

Employer Based Training
EBT allows people to train in an employer’s business or company while still benefitting from the supports in the training centre. Students spend two days in the training centre working on certified modules and three days working with the employer. Each student has an individual training plan. Students will be able to access a range of supports in the centre.

Options Rehabilitative Training Programme
Options is a rehabilitative training programme that allows students to access a wide variety of training areas with individual supports in the training centre. This will assist them to make the most of these opportunities. Options allows the students to work on a range of skills: vocational, occupational and personal. These skills help to develop the knowledge, confidence and resources needed to access employment, further training and options in the wider community.
