Our care starts with the candidate
Rehab is a not for profit organisation which provides essential services for children and adults with disabilities and their families. We also support hundreds of older people to remain in their own homes living independently through our Home Support workers. Our mission, the very reason we exist, is to make sure the people who need our services get all the support they need when they need it and where they need it to achieve what they want in life. Some of the people we work with have an intellectual disability, are older and in need of support to remain independent, some have a mental health issue, others might need education or training to find a job, or may be recovering from an accident or a disability, or have a lifetime disability.
At Rehab our job is to be with the people we serve, supporting them on every step of their journey so they can be truly part of their communities, living independently with dignity and respect. We also work to break down barriers that prevent people becoming full members of their communities. If you want to help change lives we are always on the lookout for talented individuals who are passionate about bringing their skills to help us do our life-changing and transformative work.
Working with Rehab you will feel included and valued. You will be inspired by our cause and by the people you meet and work with. You will feel you are doing a lot more than just a job. Work with us and help us change society. Feel part of something big. Feel as though you’re doing something that really matters – and that’s really worth it.
You’ll also feel like you’re moving forward in your career. We provide training and development and you’ll be encouraged to explore all our opportunities.
What’s more, the experiences you get from working with people with a disability will see you grow as a person as well as a professional.
More than a job
Because of who we are, what we do, and how we do it, working here is never just a job – you’ll find it’s so much more. It’s a commitment to people with a disability, and to your colleagues. It’s an incredible learning experience, and an opportunity to build relationships that last. It means more. It demands more. And it’ll see you grow as a person, a professional, a leader and an activist.
Like we said, it’s more than a job.
