Quest Brain Injury Services are currently seeking participants from throughout Mayo and surrounding areas for a free rehabilitative training and educational workshop specifically designed for people with an acquired brain injury. The next workshop will begin this September and will run every Tuesday from 10am until 3pm in the Mosaic Centre, Castlebar. Quest Brain Injury Services is part of National Learning Network, Rehab’s training and employment division.
It is estimated that as many as 10,000 people in Ireland experience an acquired brain injury each year. Any of us can, in a split second, find our lives drastically changed by this ‘silent epidemic’. People with a brain injury can experience a wide range of life-altering consequences including lose of co-ordination, poor memory, diminished planning and organisational skills, as well as difficulties in communication and concentration. It’s no surprise that it can be a frightening or worrying time for those who experience a brain injury, and for their family and friends.
The new Quest Brain Injury Services workshop focuses on providing practical and social supports to people with an acquired brain injury in the Mayo region - building their capacity for independence and giving them the opportunity to rebuild their lives and potentially to secure employment. Training modules include brain injury awareness and management, personal and social skills, information technology and job-seeking skills.
If you would like to register for the course, please contact Quest Brain Injury Services on 091 778850 or email email@example.com
