AISLING'S STORY

My name is Aisling Cronin and I'm studying economics in UCC. I ran the Flora Mini-Marathon for Rehab in 2008. I really enjoyed it. While I'm fit, I wouldn't be what you'd call a natural runner and it was difficult to fit in much training as I had college exams. However, my sister did manage to drag me out for a few training sessions prior to the race.

On the day of the mini-marathon, there were so many people there. The weather was gorgeous, and there was such a great atmosphere. It took me an hour and half to complete the course and my mum and cousin were there to cheer me on at the finish line.

I'd recommend for women to get involved in the Flora Mini-Marathon. It's such great fun. I'd certainly do it again, maybe with my sister next time!
