County Waterford is Crowned Champion in the Rehab All-Ireland Pub Quiz 2010
A team representing The Three Ships in William Street, Waterford emerged triumphant in the final of the Rehab All-Ireland Pub Quiz 2010.
The final, which took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone on Friday, 19th November, followed quiz nights held during October and early November at some 50 pubs around the country. The winning and second place teams from each pub then progressed to the final general knowledge showdown where legendary GAA commentator and broadcaster, Micheal O Muircheartaigh, acted as special guest quizmaster for the evening.
Members of the winning team were presented with a cheque for €4,000. Pauline Crowley, Head of Fundraising, Rehab, said, "Since it's re-launch in 2007, Rehab's All-Ireland Pub Quiz has been a tremendous success with thousands of trivia-buffs in hundreds of pubs throughout the country taking part. The competition has been a fantastic way for people to enjoy a fun evening out while raising valuable funds for Rehab services in communities across Ireland."
