Location: Bray, Co Wicklow

Our Employer Based Training Programme is a flexible and innovative course facilitating participants to undergo practical training in the workplace while attending the centre one day a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and arranging suitable training opportunities in industry and monitoring these work placements. Working in conjunction with a full time EBT instructor they will also be involved with the delivery of the FETAC and computer modules attached to this programme.

The successful candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement activities of National Learning Network and promote a culture of excellence throughout the organisation. This position will suit an energetic self-starter who is capable of working on his or her own initiative.

The ideal applicant will possess the following:

- An appropriate professional qualification, preferably gained in a related discipline. Experience is desirable but not essential. This position may suit a graduate.

- Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the local employment environment would be an advantage.

- Some previous mentoring experience would also be an advantage.

All applicants will require a clean driving licence and suitable means of transport.

Secretary/Bookkeeper (Galway) Ref: NNSB MNBI

Location: Quest Service, Galway

Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy Accounts function and general office administration. They will be required to meet specific accounts deadlines together with carrying out some secretarial and administration support duties. The ideal applicant will have at least two years manual bookkeeping experience and possess good keyboard and general secretarial skills. Experience of Microsoft Office using Excel and Word and good team working communication skills are also necessary. Previous experience of a computerised accounts system preferably SUN Accounts is desirable but not essential.

This 18 hour per week position is being offered on a Permanent Contract Basis.

Rehabilitative training aims to equip participants with foundation level personal, social and work-related skills, which will enable progression to greater levels of independence and integration. Learning is fostered in a flexible manner, through a variety of activities in response to the identified needs of each participant. This is a challenging role and the ideal applicant will have an appropriate professional qualification, or equivalent, together with a number of years relevant work experience. Experience in FETAC certification and accreditation processes is desirable. Some prior experience of working with adults in educational and/or developmental contexts would also be a distinct advantage.

This 36 hour per week position is being offered on a permanent contract basis. A full clean driver’s licence is required.

Information Technology Instructor, Distance Learning (Mayo)

Location: Castlebar, Co. Mayo

The Information Technology by Distance Learning Programme is a highly individualised home based vocational training programme. This programme enables learners who wish to enter/re-enter the employment market to gain FETAC Level 5 Certification in Information Technology along with training in the areas of personal development and work skills.

As part of a team, the successful candidate will be responsible for instruction of students in the practical skills and applications of the computer, initially to ECDL standard with progression to FETAC Level 5 certification. Training is delivered via Distance Learning methodology. Modules include Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Desktop Publishing, Book Keeping, Communications and Information Systems. The successful candidate will also facilitate the development of knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to secure appropriate employment.

This is a challenging role and the ideal applicant will have an appropriate professional qualification, or equivalent, together with a number of years relevant work experience. They will require excellent facilitation, communication and organisational skills coupled with an ability to develop and implement training modules on an individual basis. Experience in FETAC certification and accreditation processes is desirable. Some prior experience of working with adults in educational and/or developmental contexts would also be a distinct advantage.

This is a 36 hour per week position, being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.

The successful candidate will receive training in the methods required for developing people with individual training and development needs. A full driver’s licence is required.

Assistant Instructor, Access Programme (Leitrim)

Location: Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim.

The Access Programme is designed to introduce adults to the social and educational demands of work and to provide them with the skills required to pursue open employment or higher-level training. Learning is fostered through class work and projects in response to identified personal needs of the individual. Practical skills are also acquired by sampling a range of vocational activities in the centre and with host companies.

The ideal applicant will have an appropriate professional qualification, together with a number of years relevant work experience. They will require excellent facilitation, communication and organisational skills coupled with an ability to develop and implement training modules on an individual basis. Some prior experience of working with adults in educational and/or developmental contexts would also be a distinct advantage.

This 14 hour per week position is being offered on a specific purpose contract. The successful candidate will receive training in the methods required for developing people with individual training and development needs.

Support Worker -19.5hrs per week, 6 month Fixed Term Contract (Kilkenny)

Location: Kilkenny

RehabCare is the health and social care division of the Rehab Group. Our aim is to enhance the lives of all of our clients through the provision of a high quality, flexible, person centred services. We presently provide and are developing a number of services, including Resource Centres, Supported Accommodation, Respite Care, Sheltered Occupational Services, Home Based Services and a range of services to individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

The successful candidate to this position will be responsible for the provision of flexible support and supervision to clients within the house. The postholder will be required to ensure the provision of flexible support in a range of activities including personal care, use of leisure time, management of finances, the development of Independent Living skills, establishing and maintaining social networks, house keeping, shopping and the use of community facilities and, importantly, the monitoring of the clients general health and well-being. A rotational shift system will operate within the service and sleep-over responsibilities, evenings and weekend duties will apply.

Applicants must have previous experience of working with people with an intellectual disability. Additionally, a clear understanding of the philosophy of independent living and community integration will be required to be demonstrated. Good communication skills and the ability to self-direct are also essential. A Third Level qualification in Health and Social Care, or a relevant nursing qualification, is highly desirable but not essential.

Salary Scale: €35,216 - €46,163 per annum (9 Point Salary Scale) Pro-Rata

Respite Service Manager – Permanent contract, 39 hours per week (Meath) Ref: 654

Location: Children Respite, Navan, Co. Meath

Our services include Resource Centre Services, Supported Accommodation, Residential Services, Respite Care, Outreach and Home Support Services. Over 3,000 children and adults with disabilities and older people in over 100 locations benefit from these services annually with further developments under way. Our aim is to enhance the lives of all of our service users through the provision of high quality, flexible, person-centred services.

Rehabcare provide a Respite Service in Navan.

This service provides a highly supportive environment to children with a diagnosis of Autism, Intellectual, physical and sensory disability. The service provides an individualised approach using person centred planning for each child with the support of a multi-disciplinary team.

Applications to this position are sought from individuals who have previous experience of a specialized service of this nature, and an interest in taking a leading role in developing and influencing services.

Applicants must have:

- a relevant third level qualification in Health & Social Care and

- proven track record of effective service development and delivery and previous staff management experience.

- Experience of working with persons with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Learning disability/Physical and Sensory disability is essential,

- working knowledge of Person Centred Planning and Behavioural Support Planning within a respite service.

Candidates must have a full clean driving licence.

Salary: €54,383 – €58,137 (5 point salary scale) + On-call Allowance

Community Services Manager - Permanent, Full-Time (Meath) - Ref: 616

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Centre.

The manager ensures:

- the provision of programmes that optimise choices for independent living and create pathways for community integration for service users,

- the needs of service users are met through activities which reflect all aspects of daily life.

The manager is an integral part of the RehabCare team involved in the implementation, design and development of community based support services that respond to service users’ needs.

Applicants must have:

- appropriate Third Level qualification in Health or Social Care, or an equivalent

- demonstrable experience of working in a management capacity including line management of staff within services for people with disabilities.

- highly developed leadership and communication skills

- excellent IT skills,

- entrepreneurial ability, together with drive and enthusiasm.

Programmes Facilitators, Permanent (39 hours per week)- (Offaly) Ref: RCPF MHTU

Location: Autism Day Service, Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

RehabCare is the health and social care division of the Rehab Group. Our aim is to enhance the lives of all of our clients through the provision of high quality, flexible, person centered services.

RehabCare is now expanding its services in the midlands region by developing a new Autism Day Service in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. The aim of the center is to provide a combination of personalised programmes with a focus on personal development, independent living, community integration, social/leisure and the introduction to supported work where appropriate.

Reporting to the Community Service Manager through the Programmes Supervisor, the post holder will facilitate service users in their choices, developing programmes within the context of a quality of life model.

Health and Social Care experience, preferably within the field of autism is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to ensure the dignity, privacy and choice of the service user at all times is also necessary.

Salary: €29,918 - €31,276 (13 points salary scale)

A Relief panel of Programmes Facilitators will be developed from the recruitment process. The purpose of the relief panel is to provide cover during periods of staff absence which may occur from time to time. All candidates will remain on the panel for a twelve month period.

A full clean driving license is required for all of the above posts.
