Rehab Group Announces Three New Roles and Appointments To Senior Leadership Team
PwC to lead search for new Chairperson of Rehab Group
Rehab Group has today announced new appointments to three newly-established roles on the company’s Senior Leadership Team. The company has also initiated an executive search process in conjunction with PwC to secure a new Chairperson to head up the Rehab Group Board.
The new role of Chief Operations Officer of the Rehab Group is to be filled by Ms. Catherine Whelan. Catherine will be responsible for the operational management of the Group’s regional and local service delivery team, employee engagement and service delivery transformation aligned to Rehab’s recently restated organisational values. It will include operational integration of services at a regional and local level, maximising the efficiency and effectiveness of service with particular emphasis on improved user outcomes and experiences.
Mr Martin Rogan has been appointed to the second new role as Director of Strategic Planning & Development with Rehab Group. Martin will be responsible for market analysis, business development strategy, and funder and enterprise customer relations. He will oversee the development of new and existing services, in collaboration with the wider Senior Leadership Team and Rehab’s funder partners, with the aim of delivering best possible outcomes for service users and Rehab’s social enterprise employees.
Ms Kathleen O’Meara is to take up the third new role as Director of Communications, Public Affairs & Fundraising at Rehab Group. Kathleen will be responsible for raising awareness of Rehab’s work through advocacy and communications strategies and also for building on key relationships with relevant partners and government bodies. She will also oversee and co-ordinate fundraising activities focused both on corporate and major donors as well as local initiatives in the communities in which Rehab works.
Making today’s announcement CEO of Rehab, Mo Flynn, said she was delighted with the calibre of the three new appointees. “These are three key appointments to Rehab’s Senior Leadership Team and the responsibilities attached to these new roles reflect the integrated approach now in place within the Group with the service user at the very heart of our organisation. I very much welcome Catherine, Martin and Kathleen to the team. They bring with them a wealth of experience and sectoral expertise to each of their respective roles and I know Rehab will benefit hugely from their input and effort in the months and years ahead.”
Rehab Group has also announced a recruitment process to identify a new Chairperson following the untimely death in November of Mr Seán Egan. This senior appointment will provide governance and strategic support to the Company’s Board of Directors and ensure Rehab continues to be managed in a transparent and accountable manner. PwC has been retained to conduct an independent search process and bring forward a shortlist of candidates for consideration. The Chairperson role is a voluntary, unpaid position and will require a candidate with strong previous experience and exceptional management and relationship-building attributes.
