Final Call to Nominate Your 2015 People of the Year
2fm Radio Presenter Eoghan McDermott and TV Presenter Diana Bunici, both supporters of the People of the Year Awards, today made a final call for the public to get their nominations in for the 2015 People of the Year Awards.
The final date for making nominations is Monday 14th September. The Awards will be broadcast live on RTÉ One on Saturday 5th December.
Eoghan and Diana called on people to hurry up and nominate the heroes that are living in their local communities, their family, friends or work colleagues – those ordinary people who have done extraordinary things over the last year.
The winners, which are all nominated by the Irish public, will be finalised by a panel of adjudicators. Categories include International Person of the Year, Young Person of the Year, Community Group of the Year and Sports Person of the Year, with other awards presented for achievements in the areas of arts and culture, sport, and lifelong achievement.
Eoghan McDermott said, “This is your final call to get your nominations in for the People of the Year awards. Everybody knows of an unsung hero in their work life, their family life, someone who could do with a boost or a lift and get some national recognition. This is your chance to shower the glory upon them that they most definitely deserve so get your nominations in before the 14th September.
Diana Bunici said, “This is your chance to give a little praise to those people in the your life who are heroes. It will be an incredible night and a wonderful opportunity. Get your nominations in before the 14th September.”
There are a number of ways to nominate and it only takes a few minutes. It can be done online at www.peopleoftheyear.com, by emailing peopleoftheyear@www.rehab.ie, by writing to People of the Year Awards Office, Roslyn Park, Sandymount, Dublin 4 or using the nominations app on www.facebook.com/PeopleOfTheYearAwards. Entries will be accepted until midnight Monday, 14th September.
