Do something ONE-DERFUL on 1 Day for Rehab and support local people with disabilities
All across the country, communities are making their final preparations for 1 Day for Rehab, the annual fundraising campaign in aid of local Rehab services for people with disabilities, which takes place tomorrow Friday 17th June 2011.
Some of the activities planned around the country to support 1 Day for Rehab include: 1K Swims Parachute Jumps A River Raft Race BBQs Fashion Shows Craft Days Bike Rides Concerts Car Washes Coffee Mornings – there’s even one on a boat on the Shannon!
Now in its second year, Rehab is making it even easier to help others by encouraging people to treat themselves with Irish handmade milk chocolate lollipops on sale for just €2, while a 1 Day for Rehab pin is also available.
Supporting local communities is at the heart of what Rehab does and each year the organisation supports some 8,000 people with disabilities and others who are marginalised in over 100 locations across Ireland. Funds raised on 1 Day go to support activities which are not funded from other sources – from sports equipment to dance therapy, from computer equipment to vehicles.
