Place Your Bid for Munster Team Painting in Aid of Charity
Monday, 15th December 2008: A painting of the Munster rugby team has gone on sale on Ebay to raise funds for Red Hill School incorporating the Bluebell ABA school for children and young people with autism in Patrickswell.
The painting, which is signed by a number of the players, depicts past and present members of the Munster rugby team. Famous names shown in action include Captain Paul O’Connell, Ronan O’Gara, John Hayes, Gerry Flannery, David Wallace, Peter Stringer and Anthony Foley and Barry Murphy. Great interest has been shown in the painting with bids rising ahead of the close of the auction on Thursday, 18th December. The artwork is currently on display in the window of Eve’s Boutique on Roches Street in Limerick City.
Neil Tobin, Manager, Red Hill School, said, ‘Rehab is involved in an ongoing fundraising programme to ensure the continued development of its services locally. In particular, Red Hill School is in the very early stages of development and the funds raised from this unique art auction will be a great Christmas present!’
Red Hill School, which opened in September, provides education for children with autistic spectrum disorder, under the patronage of Rehab Group. Separately, Rehab provides a range of autism services to children and adults nationwide, including residential, day and respite care, home care and after school services.
If you would like to make a bid for the painting, you can do so by logging on to www.ebay.ie and search for Signed Munster Rugby Team Painting under Sports Memorabilia/Rugby Memorabilia.
